I’m beyond thrilled to be partnering with Sonlight Curriculum for the 2018-2019 school year as a Sonlight Ambassador. After using Sonlight from the beginning of our children’s formal education (6 years & counting!) and loving it, Sonlight has provided me with HBL E, Science E, LA E (including optional supplements & handwriting), and an art elective, for our school year. I look forward to sharing with you as we learn throughout the year. All opinions are 100% my own.
School is Almost Over! To Check the Boxes or Not to Check the Boxes?
I am a rule-follower, box-checker, you name it…that’s me. How about you? What’s your style?
No matter which way you tend toward, you’ve got a choice to make at this point in the school year. Will you double-up (& triple-up!) your school days to get all those boxes checked in record time?
Or, will you just take it day by day until you’re done at your normal pace? Until you’re satisfied that you’ve done enough?

Sonlight Summer Readers
Beyond swimming lessons, day camps, and vacations, our kids still like to just hunker down with a great book. Like daily…year-round. You get the picture?
After so many great Sonlight books throughout the school year, our kids want to keep the reading going. Sonlight summer readers are perfect for this!
Sonlight chooses great books that, as their website says, “are the perfect companions for long summer days, as well as after-school reading, or Christmas break. Great books never go out of season!”
Register for & Attend a Homeschool Convention
My husband and I haven’t attended a homeschool convention for four years. This year, however, one of the keynote speakers that inspired us at our very first homeschool convention will be there again. So, we’re going!
In addition to being inspired, refreshed, and reassured that you’re not alone in this homeschooling endeavor…look for Sonlight! Sonlight is an exhibitor at many of the homeschool conventions around the country. Stop by their booth, and say hello. Look at the books and IGs. Pick them up, and peruse them. Ask all your questions!
