Oily Mama Home Decor and Extras

As I accumulate more oils every month (I mean, why wouldn’t I? Eden’s Garden Synergy Blends are endless!), I needed to find a good storage option for them in our quaint condominium. In my search, I wanted something where I could see all the labels and also fit in with the decor of my bathroom. I also wanted something streamlined because our bathroom isn’t that big and I had a specific space on the wall where I could put this storage.

Wall Racks for the Oily Mama

My search began on Etsy of course and I soon found MetalRacks, located in Staunton, Virginia. They have been on Etsy since 2015 and have a variety of offerings including metal wall racks, magnetic racks, and countertop options. Their racks come in powder-coated steel in black and white options with sizes ranging from 5mL essential oil bottle sizes up to 3-inch supplement bottle sizes.

Their magnetic racks are fairly new and imagine the possibilities- vitamins and supplements on the side of your fridge instead of all over the countertop or in a cabinet where you can’t see the labels. How about your favorite essential oils on the front of your washing machine so you can disinfect towels or add fresh scents to your laundry?

This is a picture of my ever-growing supply of MetalRacks racks.

I opted for the powder-coated steel in black. I can see all my labels and even the small 5mL bottles can fit behind others on top of the rack so you can fit even more in there. My kids love it because they can easily find me an oil if they’re helping me around the house or if they want to try a fresh scent (like Edens Garden Good Morning Blend) in our diffuser.

Tabletop Decor for the Oily Mama

If you’re looking for a decorative countertop storage option, my friend Alice and her husband Andre have put these Wood Oil-Bottle Holders together. She is an amazing gal with a lot of oily and homeopathy knowledge that has helped me out more than a time or two in the midst of ailments.

Looking for something other than storage right now? How about ways to WEAR your essential oils and benefit from their aromatic goodness while you’re out and about? The place to go on the internet is Essential Charms. This is a lovely little shop with an amazing selection of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. I have the Tree of Life necklace in silver and just love the design- it reminds me of a painting I did in college called “The Dreaming Tree.”

Their bracelets are intriguing me as well, but I’ve really had my eye on the African Turquoise Lava Stone Earrings. I love the thought of having oils that close to my nose throughout the day and this style says “boho chic” to me!

Essential Charms

As I was writing this, I was perusing all the new offerings that Edens Garden has on their website. They recently launched four new products- Natural Perfumes, Salt Soaks, Natural Bar Soaps, and Ceramic Ultrasonic Diffusers. Being a singer, along with a husband and son that have non-allergic rhinitis, perfume is off the table for me. I don’t think I’ve worn it since I was dating my husband so I love the thought of a Natural Perfume made from 100% pure essential oils that yields the benefits of aromatherapy…yes, please! After reading through the description of all 6 scents, I’m trying to decide between the Vanilla Sandalwood, Lavender Magnolia, and XOXO. It’s a tough call- stay tuned for a review of the scent I actually pick!

Moisturizer & Eyebrow Help for the Oily Mama

Lastly, I wanted to give a review of the Rosehip Carrier Oil from Edens Garden. I purchased this mostly to use as a skin moisturizer after reading a lot about its fatty acid profile that has regenerative properties. While I’m still having a bit of trouble with the earthy smell of this…it’s REALLY earthy…I’m happy with how it quickly absorbs into my skin. It’s also been proven to reduce scarring and other skin imperfections so major bonus here.

I was also looking for a natural solution to help grow/fill in my eyebrows a bit. If I could go back 25 years and tell my high school self DO NOT PLUCK YOUR EYEBROWS, I would do it in a hot second. But alas, time travel hasn’t been discovered yet so I’ve been trying this oily eyebrow growth serum using the Rosehip oil as well. Read more about the benefits of this oil on the Eden’s Garden blog here.
